what am I doing wrong? - HELP

All - have tried to respond to several postings with what I felt was experienced replies but this dumb computer keeps flashing on the screen after I hit the post message box to enter saying ERROR : NO E-MAIL ADDRESS and the goes on to say resubmit ----but I have been puting in my E-Mail address. I don't know what to do! Any ideas?
